I picked up a gaming laptop for Christmas, and now I've been basically addicted to playing games on it and modding the crap out of them. Unfortunately in one of my binge modding sessions I managed to mess up my copy of Fallout New Vegas, so now I'm waiting for it to re-install from steam because it would probably take longer to track down the culprit. It seems like Skyrim takes to being modded better than fallout, because I've never had it crash on my despite having installed around 75-90 mods for it, but Fallout started having issues around 30 or so which are mostly just weapon and armor add-ons.
Any how Oppo what are some of your favorite PC games and mods?
Here's something I would rather have than a new Mustang too bad Ford Would never make it let alone bring it state side

Valves catalog of games is nice, like Half-life, Portal, Counter-strike, Team fortress 2..
Spintires is fun, and I've been into racing simulations for the past few years, Assetto Corsa is fun.

Welcome to the gaming master race friend!
I play starcraft2 and battlefield 4 now. But I also have a giant Steam backlog.
Enjoy your laptop!

Use a mod manager such as Nexus to help find what is causing the issue. When you start using a lot of mods you can have issues with them interferring with each other. I really like Arma, BF4, APB reloaded.

I have no Idea why I didn't make the jump sooner. Despite owning all the new consoles they just sit collecting dust now or are used for watching movies and tv only while I'm on my laptop. Being able to mod games makes them so much better, but I have an issue where I spend more time looking for mods than playing the games.

I have the Fallout mod manager and I use it but it wasn't showing any issues.

I'm not a massive gamer, but I play the occasional World Of Tanks, War Thunder, Simraceway and Star Wars: The Old Republic. World Of Tanks is generally my favourite, but every server has their twats.
Edit: Steam stuff is pretty nice too - GTA V for PC just got released on it. If you buy it now through Steam, you get $1,000,000 in-game cash when it releases sometime in March.

Playing La Mulana and Spelunky...both are pretty great if you like 16 bit style platformers.

I do prefer PC gaming because of the nice graphics and the mouse. But even though I made the Master Race comment, I still think console gaming can be fun with the right game. Something like Last of Us Remastered on the PS4, which I just finished, is amazing.
Anyway it is ok to spend more time looking for mods than playing games, as long as your having fun it's all good right?
If you're interested in playing classic but still incredible PC games you should check out gog.com
They got old classics working on modern OSes and are selling them completely DRM free. I recommend System Shock 2 and Baldur's Gate 2.

I mainly play BF4, but I've been playing a heck of a lot of Titanfall lately. I just went 18/3. Woo.

And here's the Oppo Steam Group if you haven't joined already. Doesn't seem too active, but here it is.

Did you check at thing that's going around that tells you how long your backlog is? I'm at just under 2200 hours, which is kinda ridiculous.

I've had it for over a year now. My old laptop could run it but would crash with some of my bigger builds. I had a space station attached to an asteroid, but it got too long and started wobbling until it exploded into pieces.

I bought a Clevo P177SM in November, and the week after I ordered it the base config went from having a GTX 870M to a GTX 970... :/

that's the downside to computer gaming I think. as soon as you upgrade something better comes along right after.

Fallout 3 and NV and not mod so friendly, because of the crappy engine that they were built.
Skyrim was made with a new much more moders negnine, but its still have some stupid issues also the Steam Workshop integration is making it easier.
If you like to shoot things, but not the casual afair that are CoD and Battlefield, go with CS Global Offensive, more or less there are ton of modes that will let you train before marching in the hell that is competative. Also you can get skins for weapons, which can sometimes net you some sweet money. I made over $150 by selling skins and if you get a really hot item you can do that and even more just with it.
The only thing we PC gamers don't get are game like GT and Forza, Project Cars is something like that, but again it is nowhere near the amount of cars present in the console games.

Yeah I had to cut down my number of mods for new vegas considerably compared to skyrim. I also have an Xbone with Forza Horizon 2, I was the one who started the Oppo car club on it, but I've been neglecting my post a bit as of late.

I'm a big ARPG fan, so right now it's Diablo 3 (massively improved since launch) and the occasional foray into Torchlight or Torchlight 2.
I also like the Borderlands series, although I tend to buy them when the inevitable "comes with all DLC edition" comes out. I'll occasionally play an FPS as well, but usually something for fun, like Far Cry: Blood Dragon.
I also have a huge backlog on steam, about 75% of which is from Humble Bundles.
Excited for Evolve, Overwatch, and Witcher 3.
